Mini vinyls are awesome. That is all.

Got a sweet package of Glyos goodness today and snapped some pics. The Gobon Renegades were all hand painted by Matt, and he did a killer job.
Armorcast Battletech Mad Dog (Vulture) 1/60 2 comments
Classic Battletech is the quintessential American-born giant robot franchise, spanning tabletop games, video games, toys, books, role playing games, a cartoon series, and large-scale models. Armorcast made three battlemech kits in 1/60 (28mm) scale a few years back, the Timber Wolf (Mad Cat), Mad Dog (Vulture), and the Atlas, pretty much the three most iconic Battletech designs. These kits have been out of print for a while, but if you can find them they are quite good. Solid detail, simple construction, and a couple of white metal detail parts on each make them rugged and impressive kits worthy of display.
The Vulture is a solid all around mech, capable of providing long-range fire support with its Long Range Missile racks and Large Pulse Lasers, as well as fighting at mid-range with Large and Medium Pulse Lasers. Its sleek design really stands out among the usual bulky and blocky Battletech fare.

Double cast clear pink over GID, clear head, freehand sprays on the outer head, and a light up feature. This guy does it all.
Glyos Hellopike Custom Corps Chaos Leave a comment
Nothing major, but I finally got around to taking a shot of this beauty… hellopike is a hell of a painter, and did a killer job on his Custom Corps run, with a really neat variety of figures with some unique builds. I think the body on this guy was dyed, and he positively glows when light passes through him.

I painted this guy up for Phil Reed before meeting him this evening. Phil didn’t have any toys painted by me other than the shiny E.killer, so I had to fix that 😉 The color homage should be apparent.
Dead Pre$idents Cosmic Squadron Leave a comment
I’ve been messing around with this guy since I bought him at NYCC, so I wanted to give him some proper coverage. Dead Presidents (Matt Walker) designed a neat vintage style spaceman as a way to combine his love of vinyl toys, tin rayguns, and classic-ey spacemen. The design by Matt was sculpted by Sunguts, a Japanese vinyl designer known for solid sculpts and cute designs, and the result here is fantastic. The Cosmic Squadron has been heating up Japan, and a proper US launch is on the near horizon.
I love the heroic fight figure proportions. The Cosmic Squadron stands about six inches tall with the helmet on, and all the releases so far have been on crystal clear Japanese vinyl.
Neo Eyezon Mark Nagata X Prometheum5 Collab! 1 comment
Hi all,
Mark posted a photo, on the Max Toy Co site so I guess I can now, too. Over the summer, Mark asked me if I was interested in doing a run of Neo Eyezons, to which I could not have said ‘yes’ more excitedly! More details are forthcoming, but I painted my figures a couple weeks back and shipped them to Mark. They will be sold as a two-pack with a Neo Eyezon by Mark, and that’s all I can say for now. Here’s a couple photos of the beasts, though. This project got to act as sort of the debut for Monster Kolor’s Hawaii Kolor set, which comes with trial-size bottles of great colors and a toy for $40, and is the perfect kit for anyone who’s been thinking about trying to paint toys, or airbrush in general! I based the colors for my Neo Eyezons on the Bullmark Hawaii King Ghidorah, since I love green! 😀 Here’s a couple shots before they shipped off to Mark.
While I was painting these guys, I also whipped up this little guy using the colors for myself, since all the Eyezons went off in a box to Mark:

Got some new toys with some unbelievable paint.
Max Toy Co mini Xam painted by Mark Nagata.
Accompanied by an unpainted white mini Maxx that is just gorgeous!
I also purchased this mind-blowing Toygraph Death Climax UFO Monster Gunhead in yummy flesh vinyl painted by the master, Dead Presidents. Walker pulled out all the stops, and his crazy colors and Monster Kolor paint really shine on this massive beast.
The Guhead is supposed to terrorize Toygraph’s Space Troopers, but Dead Presidents’s new Cosmic Squadron troopers do everything the Space Troopers set out to do better, bigger, and much prettier.
No-mad escapes from the beast’s clutches, lines up the shot his life depends on, and holds his breath!
NYCC Wrap-up Leave a comment
No real pics, but NYCC was a great time. One day was not enough, and it was impossible to try and see everything, but it was a blast. Meeting up with people was fantastic, and the Cultyard section with all the independent designer guys was fantastic. I scored a coupe great vinyls, including Paul Kaiju’s Buttercup color Boss Carion.
I also have two E.killers left with me. The third was graciously allowed to inhabit the Onell ‘family’ table and was in good company alongside resins by PK, Sucklord, The God Beast, and many others when I left. The two I still have are for sale in the store, so if you were interested, you still have a chance!
