Gargamel Mini Mightin- Rolok Kolors   1 comment

Gargamel mini based on a bootleg kaiju sculpt.  Painted featuring Monster Kolor ‘Rolok’ colors as a test piece, which dry flat and have some more ‘stuff’ in them, so they don’t need sealer.  The claws and details were painted with other MK colors and glossed, and the shiny and matte effect looks really neat on this guy.

Gargamel Mini Hedorah Crawling Slick   1 comment

This mini sculpt is based on the very rare vintage bootleg fullsize sculpt of one of the Somg Monster forms.  I love the proportions and the stance, and the figure has some great texture.

Max Toy Co Hawaii Mini Eyezon   1 comment

I tried to really push my colors and sprays with this little guy. A trick that I’ve learned I can use is to bring up my highlights in white and then use a light squirt of clear colors to restore any fading. Prometheum5 x Max Toy Co Neo Hawaii Eyezon (Sold Out)   Leave a comment

Good news!

The Neo Eyezon Hawaii two-pack I painted with Mark Nagata using the Monster Kolor Hawaii set just went up for sale to the Max Toy Co Club members.  I am really excited to see this project completed, and had a great time with it. Working with someone I respect and look up to was a blast, and I think both figures in the set came out really fantastic, and complement each other very well!

Glyos Blighted Phanost   Leave a comment

My brother made a custom Phanost build that incorporated some metal parts we got from the recent drop and other places that he wanted me to paint.  One of the parts was a metal Crayboth claw, so he got a huge claw arm and I wanted it to be a focal point.  It was such an unusual build that I couldn’t help but think that the claw must be some sort of mutation or blight this Phanost caught while exploring.  Now, his blighted arm crackles with power even as it corrupts him.

The first post was getting long, so this will be part 2 of the Glyos figures in progress.

It was time for some details, so I got out a fine-tuned weapon.
